A builder at heart, Devika founded Ideate Legal with a simple vision: to help entrepreneurs, founders, GC's and others to ideate a legal roadmap in-house. Her extensive experience within the start-up landscape here in Silicon Beach (Los Angeles) has helped her gain the experience she needed to help others scale, and provided her with the insight she wanted to carry over to others in the same space.

'As the go-to attorney in-house, I have been able to understand the legal gaps, needs and desires cross-functionally. It’s been a great pleasure to work across various verticals, from fin-tech, drone-tech, e-commerce and sales, with rockstar GC’s, legal and business partners. Whether it is working with engineers, product, design, or C-Suite, my goal has always been to marry the legal with the business to allow for further growth and innovation, and lead with empathy. I am a business partner first and lawyer, second. I want to be able to provide my insight, knowledge, and toolkit to help further the legal needs in-house for GC's, founders and others. Many don't realize how important it is to have a legal and HR roadmap in place no matter what stage you’re in.'

*Devika currently represents unaccompanied youth in both state and immigration courts on deportation defense proceedings. She is also a domestic violence counselor, and a mom of a very active 2 year old. She continues to keep a pulse on the state of corporate and technology start-ups, and happy to help when needed. Devika’s diverse perspectives and experience help shape her work ethic and insight to the work she is passionate about.
